Shol Macher Jhol

Shol Macher Jhol is a homestyle Bengali fish curry where tender pieces of shol (snakehead fish) are simmered in a light, aromatic broth with potatoes and minimal spices. The beauty of this dish lies in its simplicity—delicate flavors, a thin yet flavorful gravy, and a comforting warmth that makes it perfect for everyday meals. Traditionally served with hot steamed rice, it captures the essence of authentic Bengali home cooking.
