Deliciously hot vapa puli is one of the main attractions during the winter season in Bangladesh. In this recipe, we are preparing the steamed way where the filling would be coconut-jaggery paste (kheer).

Ingredients
For Dough:
3cuprice flour
0.5literwater
1tspsalt
For Filling:
1/4cuprice flour
1cupmilk
1/2cupjaggery
1pccoconutmedium, grated
Instructions
Prepare the filling:
In a pan, start boiling 1-liter of water. Add milk, jaggery, coconut, and rice flour.
Keep stirring continuously.
When it becomes a thick paste set it aside.
Prepare the Dough:
Add water and rice flour and salt to a pan. Close the lid for 4-5 mins so that evenly boiled. Mix well with a wooden stick.
While it's hot make a smooth dough.
Close it with a damp cloth.
Prepare the pitha:
Take a small dough and roll it into a small ball.
Using your hand make a bowl shape.
Put 1 tsp filling at the center of the bowl.
Fold the bowl-shaped dough and design the edges. You can watch the video for a proper view.
Steam the pitha:
Take a vessel or pot and fill it with water (3/4th of the vessel or pot) and close it with a cloth. Place it on the furnace.
Bring water to a boil and place the pitha above the cloth.
