Chicken Biryani
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp mace powder
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
- 2 pcs bay leaves
- 2-1 pcs cinnamon
- 3-4 pcs cardamom
- 3-4 pcs cloves
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp cumin paste
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup onion chopped/sliced
- 2 pcs potatoes medium
- 3 cups polao rice
- 6 cups water hot
- 4-5 pcs green pepper
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tsp keora water
Instructions
- Soak rice in the water for 10 mins.
- Take a pan. Turn off the flame. On the pan add chicken (washed and drained).
- Add salt, white pepper, mace, nutmeg, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, chili powder, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin paste, oil, and chopped onion.
- Mix them very well.
- Turn on the heat and cover the lead. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- When the oil separates add potatoes. Cut the potatoes into small cube pieces and add them.
- Mix and close the lid. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Wash, drain, and add rice.
- Give a good mix and fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Add 6 cups of hot water.
- Stir and close the lid. Cook for 5 mins.
- When the water is reduced a bit add green chili and salt. Close the lid. Cook for 5 mins.
- Add the keora water and cook on low heat for 15-20 mins.
- Mix and keep it under low heat for another 10 mins.
- Serve hot!
