Chicken Biryani

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp mace powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 pcs bay leaves
  • 2-1 pcs cinnamon
  • 3-4 pcs cardamom
  • 3-4 pcs cloves
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp cumin paste
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup onion chopped/sliced
  • 2 pcs potatoes medium
  • 3 cups polao rice
  • 6 cups water hot
  • 4-5 pcs green pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp keora water

Instructions

  • Soak rice in the water for 10 mins.
  • Take a pan. Turn off the flame. On the pan add chicken (washed and drained).
  • Add salt, white pepper, mace, nutmeg, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, chili powder, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin paste, oil, and chopped onion.
  • Mix them very well.
  • Turn on the heat and cover the lead. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • When the oil separates add potatoes. Cut the potatoes into small cube pieces and add them.
  • Mix and close the lid. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Wash, drain, and add rice.
  • Give a good mix and fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add 6 cups of hot water.
  • Stir and close the lid. Cook for 5 mins.
  • When the water is reduced a bit add green chili and salt. Close the lid. Cook for 5 mins.
  • Add the keora water and cook on low heat for 15-20 mins.
  • Mix and keep it under low heat for another 10 mins.
  • Serve hot!
