Soya 65 or Soya chunks fry is a simple and quick recipe. These golden fried crispy soya chunks may be served as a tea-time snack, or as a side dish with polao, biryani, or fried rice. Soya 65 is one of the famous and yummy snacks for kids and an excellent snack for both veg and non-veg.

Soya Nuggets (Soya Chunks) are one of the greatest meat substitutes. It has a high protein level, surpassing eggs, meat, and milk. Soya beans are reported to help with blood sugar regulation, cholesterol reduction, bowel regulation, and constipation relief.

We used gram flour and cornflour in our version of Soya 65, but it may also be made with simply Maida.

Soya 65 | Soya Chunks Fry

Soya 65 is one of the famous and yummy snacks for kids and an excellent snack for both veg and non-veg.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soya chunks
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • water hot, as required
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp chat masala
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • oil as required

Instructions

  • In a bowl take 1 cup of soya chunks.
  • Add hot water and salt. Mix a bit.
  • Close and wait for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, squeeze the excess water from the soya chunks and place them in a separate bowl.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, and chat masala. Give a good mix.
  • Add gram flour and cornflour. Give a good mix again.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add the mixed soya chunks one by one in a batch. Deep fry them until brown. Repeat after one batch.
  • Serve hot!
