Ingredients

For the chicken (during boiling)

  • 2 pcs Chicken Breast
  • Water as needed
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger Paste

For the chicken filling mixture

  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

For dough

  • 1 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Water as needed
  • Oil to fry

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in a pan. Add water to the pot to cover the chicken about ½ an inch above the chicken. Add salt, black pepper, garlic paste and ginger paste. Cover the lid and cook for approx. 15-20 more minutes.
  • Once done transfer the chicken to a bowl and shredded the chicken.
  • In another pan add oil and chopped onion. Sauté until translucent.
  • Add the shredded chicken. Give a good mix. Add flour and mix again. Add milk, black pepper and cook until it's chicken. Keep aside.
  • In a bowl take 1½ cup flour. Add baking powder, salt and oil. Mix well. Add a little bit of warm water at a time and make a smooth dough.
  • Apply oil, cover and wait for 10 mins. Knead the dough a bit after 10 minutes.
  • Take a small dough and roll it into a small ball. Apply oil over the ball and shape it into a round shape (roti).
  • Apply oil in the mold
  • Place the roti inside the mold. Add the chicken mixture.
  • Close the mold and put pressure in the edge. Cut the extra doug.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the chicken puli. Deep fry them in medium heat.
  • Serve hot!
