Easy Homemade Granola

Granola is an excellent source of fiber, iron, heart-healthy fats, and protein. This healthy option provides the perfect balance for daily needs.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm Rolled Oats
  • 50 gm Cashew
  • 50 gm Almond
  • 50 gm Pistachio
  • 30 gm Flax Seed
  • 30 gm Pumpkin Seed
  • 30 gm Sunflower Seed
  • 3 tbsp Sugar optional
  • 3 tbsp Honey add 1tbsp more if no sugar is added
  • 1 cup Water
  • 30 gm Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl add Rolled Oats, Cashew, Almond, Pistachio, Flax Seed, Pumpkin Seed, and Sunflower Seed. Mix well and take aside.
  • Heat up a pan and add sugar, 3 tbsp honey, and 1 cup water. If you want to avoid sugar, you can increase honey by 1 tbsp.
  • When the sugar starts melting or after 1 min of cooking add butter and salt. Cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
  • Turn off the flame and pour this onto the oats mixture. Using a spoon mix it very well. Don't overwater it. The mixture should be moist, not watery.
  • Preheat the pan. Add the oats mixture.
  • Roast it slowly by stirring continuously for 15-20 mins on medium flame.
  • When golden brown, the oats granola is ready. Spread it over a plate and cool them down evenly.
  • You can store it in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
  • Serve with yogurt, banana or you can have it even raw.
